Entrepreneurship projects
Amore le Bain by M is my small-scale soap business. I launched it when I was fifteen years old. As a teenager, I had a lot of skin problems because of which I was only allowed to use organic soaps, which were either too expensive or not so fancy therefore, I was motivated to learn how to make organic soaps from scratch. So I finished my workshop as a soap connoisseur in Mumbai and started my research and experimentation into finding just the right mixtures of oils and butter to create each of my soaps and other body care products. Amore le Bain by M was launched in 2015 by me and my sister, by launching new products every month, I have expanded my customer base from 150 to 2000 over these years.
I have also taken part in several hygiene drives at kindergarten schools and conducted soap-making workshops. I also donated soaps to the covid warriors and workers.
10% of the profit earned from each soap goes into the charity to the deaf and dumb school. Visit Know More your orders!!
Do you know a punjabi who is not a foodie... well I would call Myself a health aficionado . Food has an enthusiastic effect on me . Being the younger sibling with various health conditions, I was nurtured in an environment of overprotectiveness. Their concern was rooted in my lower immunity and frequent illnesses and my mother always emphasized a healthy diet, instilling in me the belief that "you are what you eat”. This belief was put to the test when I was the only one in my family to contract COVID-19. The isolation was challenging but became a pivotal moment for self-care and introspection. During this period, I leaned heavily on the wisdom imparted by my mother, who shared recipes for nutritious green juices and herbal teas, all sourced from our kitchen garden. I meticulously journaled this experience, recording each meal and its impact on my health.
"Food thy medicine " is very close to my heart.. .. as l grew I myself developed a very keen interest on the wholesomeness of every foodn item I saw at a vegtabe vendor or a supermarket . After comprehensive reading most of our dinning table conversations very me telling everyone about the energy of every food item... it was during one of our dinners that my grandfather suggested that I should make a journal... during lockdown this hobby of mine became my obsession.. I felt the more I researched my journal because interesting and inspiring... this journey became. This journal, initially a personal record, evolved into a comprehensive guide, encapsulating years of health and wellness knowledge passed down in my family. After recovering, I expanded this journal with my mother's recipes, which she used during childhood to bolster my health. It became a treasure trove of information, a blend of personal experience and generational wisdom. it took me three and half years to get all my data collated.. and i am still adding products every week ...I honestly believe that food actually can cure many diseases. I magine following a proper diet u will never have to eat a blister pack of medicine , what amazes me that a punnet if strawberries or a cluster if grapes or a dash if honey in your meal can be magical.
The foodologist in me is Positively Irrepressible. My future plans for this website is to make it more interactive and collaborate with dietitians and foodmarts where all these products will be available. I also further aim to now study traditional diets, native foods and ethnic cuisines , often associated with a specific culture or region and countries. There is so much more I can do with this project.. I feel sky in the limit so stay tuned...Know More
Reading the Bhagwat Gita I came across a chapter talking about five plants called “Panchvati” that provided the maximum amount of oxygen any plant could provide. Seeing so many people around me dying because of covid I knew that the only way I could help them was by planting trees.I realised that at this point of time the fight was not for money or gold but for oxygen. This is when I used funds from Amore le Bain, and collaborated with FICCI Flo and purchased 75 sets of Panchvatis and made it open for any citizen to take them from me for free and plant them.
Seeing the positive impact from the previous drive, I connected with Mr. Rohit and Mrs.Geetanjali Mehra, the green couple of Ludhiana and along with them and the Income Tax Department, we planted vertical gardens along 8 banks of river Satluj in Ludhiana. We collected plastic bottles from the dumping yards and used them as pots to plant the saplings in. This project was initiated to reduce water pollution and increase the greenery in the city.
As the second wave of coronavirus hit India, the importance of oxygen also increased. With World Environment Day approaching I along with FICCI Flo took up the project to adopt approx. 2500 square yards of land in the industrial area of Ludhiana. Under the guidance of the green couple, we planted 10,000 trees with geotags. The mini forest we planted was quoted to be “the lungs of the industrial area” by several newspapers.
The main aim of the no-plastic drive was to promote the use of cloth bags in the farmers markets. We hired a few unemployed women from the villages and asked them to knit 2000 cloth bags, we then took over the Farmer’s Market for 3 months and promoted the use of cloth bags.We educated the vendors about the harmful effects of plastic and wish to continue working on this project after the pandemic settles down.
